Answers to common questions about family, football, and whiskey moments.
My daughters and I have watched Seattle Seahawks games since they were toddlers. We make a big breakfast on Sunday mornings of eggs, pancakes or waffles, bacon or sausage, and hash browns and watch the games. It is a fun family tradition. A few years ago, I started purchasing a bottle of whiskey I had never tried before after every Seattle Seahawks victory. My daughters thought this was funny and would tease me about it when we watched Seahawks games. Being a big Seahawks fan, I keep track of the team through news stories, social media, and fan-created YouTube channels. In watching these YouTube channels after a Seahawks victory and drinking a victory whiskey one night, a thought occurred to me to combine watching the games with my daughters and purchasing a new bottle of whiskey after a victory into a YouTube channel. And so, Victory Whiskey was born.
I drink the whiskey, of course. I keep each Victory Whiskey bottle in a cabinet, which you might call a Victory Cabinet, over the course of the football season. Once the season is over, I start drinking the whiskey in the spring and summer. The last two seasons I have been able to finish the bottles by the start of the next season. The last two Halloweens I have provided "Halloween Parent Juice" to the parents of trick-or-treaters that stop at my house, and a few of the Victory Whiskey selections have been put out for community members to taste.
I knew I needed a way to end the videos if the Seahawks lost the game. In thinking about this, I thought, what is the opposite of drinking whiskey after a win? And came up with tea after a loss. I don’t like losses, and I don’t like tea seemed to go hand-in-hand. After a loss, I will also rank the victory whiskeys in order of which I like. Also, after each loss I will add a measure of the whiskey to the infinity decanter, which will be tasted after the last game of the season.
My teenage daughters are minors. With them being minors, I do not think it is appropriate for them to be seen on a YouTube channel that has whiskey in the name. Teenagers are also awkward and shy at times, and I do not want to expose their awkwardness or shyness to the internet and have it appear I am making fun of them. I do not want them to possibly receive future criticism for their dad’s idea of creating a YouTube channel. I so enjoy watching the games with them, and by keeping the camera just on me, they will continue to enjoy watching the games with me.
I have a lot of favorite whiskeys. And there are a lot of whiskeys that I like but are not my favorites. On the channel I won’t say a specific whiskey is bad. I might just say it’s not for me or that it’s okay.
I started drinking whiskey a few years ago because I was starting to feel bloated when I drank beer. Pendleton was the first whiskey that I really started drinking. I had it on ice, and I had it neat, and I had it with mixers. I like Pendleton, and it is somewhat my “house whiskey,” and I always seem to have a bottle in the house. Recently I have had Woodford Reserve’s Double Oaked and Eagle Rare; both are good whiskeys.
I am using an iPhone and Adobe’s Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and After Effects to create the videos.
All my life. I was joyous when they won the Super Bowl and crushed the next year when they threw it from the one-yard line.
Yes, you should. I am looking to post content on the platforms as often as I can. The Victory Whiskey platforms are linked in the footer of the website.

Right now, I do not have a Patreon. It is something I am looking at. If you want to support Victory Whiskey, the best thing you can do right now is to subscribe to the channel, like the videos, and comment on the videos when you think it is appropriate to do so. Thanks.
I am also a soccer fan and a hockey fan. I have thought about possibly doing these two sports, but they have a lot of games, and doing a video for each game might not be plausible. The World Cup is coming up in the summer of 2026, and I have thought about doing a video for each of Team USA’s games. If they were to win the World Cup, they would play seven games over the course of a month, which might be doable.
